At Lawrence Park Health Clinic (LPHC) in Toronto, we have the professional therapists and experienced coaches you need to help you reach your goals. Here at LPHC, all our clients start with a Functional Movement Screen to determine whether you have any restrictions and/or pain with what are known as the “basic human movement patterns.”
If any pain and / or deficits are found with any of these movement patterns, you are first referred to one our therapists before you start any rigorous strength and conditioning program. Our therapists will then perform a full orthopaedic and functional assessment to determine the root cause of your issue, convey their diagnosis(es) and recommend an individualized treatment program, tailored to your exact needs.
Why do we do this you ask? We believe that exercise is not just about moving, but about moving well, moving pain free and moving efficiently. Once underlying issues are addressed, exercise can be performed safely and properly, all with the goal of preventing injury while becoming more fit and having fun at the same time!

Our strength and conditioning coaches are specially trained to work with you one on one to help you achieve your individualized goals. Whether you are easing into a conditioning program with more of a pre/re-hab focus in mind, or ready to jump right into your fitness program, we will ensure you get there safely, efficiently and effectively.
Your LPHC conditioning specialist is trained as an expert in dynamic assessments to continually address any asymmetries, restrictions, movement patterns dysfunctions, strengths and weaknesses that may show up throughout your sessions. Your program will be created for you and you only, based on both your assessments from your therapist and conditioning specialist coach. No cookie cutter programs here. Once your goals are set, you will be monitored closely throughout your program, with your coach making changes along the way, to ensure you get the RESULTS you desire.

Khanh Vy, Certified Athletic Therapist | Kinesiologist | Conditioning Specialist
BPHE, CAT(C), R. Kin, CSCS
As a Toronto Athletic therapist, Registered Kinesiologist strength coach and personal trainer with over 10 years of experience, Khanh believes that building efficiency and resiliency in the body are goals that must be attained in any fitness and health program. After completing a Bachelors of Physical and Health Education Degree from the University of Toronto, Khanh continued to pursue his career in health and athletic performance. He became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Athletic Therapist (CAT(C)) in order to distinguish himself from other Kinesiologists and strength coaches. With his extensive educational background, Khanh is able to bring knowledge from both the therapy and performance perspectives in the field of health and athletic performance. He separates himself from others in the field by constantly pursuing specialized continuing education courses, seeking and learning what works from other professionals around him and around the world.
Khanh currently works with athletes and highly motivated recreational athletes. He is an Athletic Therapist with the Stoufville Junior A hockey team and a Strength and Conditioning Coach with various Dragonboat teams within the GTA.
Khanh believes in leading by example. As a multi-sport athlete himself, Khanh is familiar with the importance of training, competition and recovery and the need to balance all three components. He sees a pleasure in helping his clients and athletes achieve their true potential either in performance or in health.

Dr. Alexandra (Allie) Dennis, Toronto Chiropractor | Certified Personal Trainer
B.Sc. Kin (Hons.), D.C., CSEP-CPT, EIMC, SFMA
Dr. Allie graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. She was the recipient of the Mark A. King Memorial Award for outstanding proficiency in the field of diagnostic imaging as well as the Harold Beasley Award for Excellence in Jurisprudence. She holds a Bachelor of Science Honors Specialization in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario, and is also a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Exercise is Medicine® Canada (EIMC) practitioner through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP). Dr. Allie is an SFMA Certified practitioner focusing on functional movement assessments. She is a Certified First Responder with the Canadian Red Cross and has experience with on-field and sideline care for sports teams. Dr. Allie believes in living a healthy, well-rounded lifestyle. She is very active and loves sports, especially soccer where she has competed at the international level. She has a passion for travel and has had the opportunity to visit almost every continent – she was even selected as one of 13 interns to participate in a chiropractic outreach in the Dominican Republic during her final year at CMCC.
Dr. Allie loves working with patients of all ages and abilities! She has had the opportunity to work with everyone from elite athletes (both as a Student Athletic Trainer for the women’s Varsity Rugby team at Western and as a Team Host for the Chilean Blind Soccer team at the Parapan Am Games in Toronto in 2015) to weekend warriors to office workers and those with chronic pain and several comorbidities. She uses a functional approach tailored to each patient to get people back to doing what they love. In addition to her strong manual skills (adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue therapy), Dr. Allie uses active care as an integral part of her treatment plans in order to get you stronger, happier and healthier. She will progress through rehab with you in the clinic and send you away with homework to maintain and build on the the progress made together.
Dr. Allie’s love of health and fitness drives her to always go above and beyond for our patients. Her welcoming and positive attitude, attention to detail, and exceptional knowledge of the human body and physical medicine make her an invaluable member of our healthcare team. Lauren Smith, Physiotherapy Assistant | Certified Personal Trainer
Lauren is currently a student at Humber College in the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Assistant program in Toronto. A previous Dalhousie University graduate with a Bachelors in Science, Lauren played fours years of Varsity Volleyball for the Dalhousie Tigers. Still passionate about the sport, she is a Provincial Volleyball Referee and refereed at the Parapan Am games in Toronto. For recreation she plays in indoor and beach volleyball leagues and pick up tennis. She enjoys taking her puppy on long hikes throughout the GTA and being outdoors. Lauren is excited about enhancing her knowledge of all the multi-disciplinary rehab fields at Lawrence Park Health Clinic and looks forward to assisting our clinic patients and clients in achieving their health and fitness goals. She is eager to continue learning about rehabilitation while she attends school for her diploma to become a Toronto physical therapy assistant. As a certified personal trainer at our Yonge and Eglinton location, Lauren prides herself on challenging her training and rehab clients, as she helps them to build strength, tone muscles, and improve fitness levels – all while having fun and working in a safe environment.
