5 Ingredient or Less Meal Prep Ideas

Eating healthy is always easier said than done. Life gets in the way and there’s always less time in the day than we would like to do the things we really love. Today I’ve shared some extremely easy meal prep ideas that are simple to make and contain 5 ingredients or less.


Taco Bowls



  • Chicken or tofu marinated in taco spices
  • Long grain rice. Can also use brown rice or quinoa
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Lettuce or kale
  • Sliced avocado
  • (additional: cilantro for garnish)


Mix your protein with taco spices and saute until fully cooked. Place on top of your rice bowl and add tomatoes, lettuce and sliced avocado.


Foil Pack with Veggies and Italian Sausage


  • Sweet potato
  • Italian sausage
  • Green beans
  • Red pepper
  • Corn


Prepare foil packets to bake ingredients. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut up the sausage and vegetables. Mix everything together with some garlic, butter or olive oil. Divide the ingredients evenly into foil packets and place in the oven. The foil packets can be placed directly on the oven racks or on a baking sheet to assist with removing them from the oven.  Bake for 30- 40 minutes.


Garlic Shrimp with Asparagus and Tomatoes


  • Garlic
  • Shrimp
  • Asparagus
  • Cherry tomatoes

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut cherry tomatoes in half and toss the asparagus and cherry tomatoes lightly in oil. Place on a baking sheeting and bake until the vegetables begin to feel tender when poked with a fork. Start to check vegetables after 15 minutes in the oven.  Saute shrimp with garlic and olive oil in a pan while vegetables are baking.
